- Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership
-
-
The Castle Morpeth Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) is a partnership between the Council, Northumberland County Council and Northumbria Police.
-
-
The Vision Statement of the Partnership is: ‘ Castle Morpeth Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership’s vision is to create an environment in which everyone belonging to or visiting Castle Morpeth’s diverse urban and rural communities can live their daily lives, safely, without fear of crime and the threat from anti social behaviour.’
-
-
Castle Morpeth Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership was required by the Home Office to produce a Crime, Disorder & Drugs Strategy to cover the period April 2005 to March 2008 to demonstrate how it would achieve the Home Office requirement to reduce volume crime (PSA1) by 15% over the period, as well as highlighting the local priorities of the Partnership. To the end of November 2007 the Partnership has reduced volume crime (PSA1) by 27% or 475 crimes.
-
-
Consequently, excellent progress has been made against the targets set out in the Crime, Disorder and Drugs Strategy 2005 – 2008, which has been achieved through strong partnership working and focused targeting of the priority areas. There is, therefore, no doubt that Castle Morpeth is a safe place to live.
