At the Borough's heart is the ancient market town of Morpeth
Morpeth boasts the award winning Carlisle Park, which has been described as 'the jewel in Morpeth's crown' and features the William Turner Garden, which commemorates 'the father of English botany'.
Castles, Woods and Water is a £15m programme in Morpeth which focuses on maximising the natural assests of the town and surrounding area. The Greater Morpeth Development Trust - as the sub area partnership for Morpeth - is now taking forward projects from within the Castle Woods and Water programme.
The town centre of Morpeth is a bustling market town at the core of the Borough and County. The physical town centre improvements that are currently in progress promise further revitisation of our town centre core.
