Castle Morpeth has many beautiful villages and hamlets in the Rural West part of the Borough, including Stamfordham, Hartburn, Longhorsley and Heddon on the Wall.

The recently revitalised Rural West Partnership (RWP) is working with communities to develop a range of projects to improve rural life.  Initiatives to improve transport, access to services, village hubs and support for rural business development are currently being developed with the support of Advancing Castle Morpeth.

The RWP is working with landed estates in the Borough to enhance the role they play in rural community life.
