We need to know of any changes that may affect either the amount of business rates you pay or whether you should be paying business rates at all.

The most important one is when you move in and out of a property. In these cases we need the following information.

If you are moving in or out of property, as a leaseholder, we need to know.

  • Your name and the name of your business.
  • The property address.
  • The details of your landlord.
  • The date your lease began / ended.
  • The date you moved in / out of the property.
  • A correspondence address.

In the case of a Limited company further details would be appreciated.

If you are buying or selling a property we need to know

  • Your name and the name of your business.
  • The property address.
  • The completion date of the sale.
  • The details of the solicitors who dealt with the sale
  • The date you moved in / out of the property.
  • A correspondence address.
  • Details of the new owners (if selling)

If you receive one of the available business rate reliefs and your entitlement to this relief changes you need to contact us as soon as possible.
