New Northumberland Planning Document
Your council is working together with the other local authorities in Northumberland to produce a new joint Statement of Community Involvement for the new unitary authority.

The Statement of Community Involvement is one of the planning documents which make up the Local Development Framework.  It sets out how the local authority will work with local people and organisations to involve them in the process of making planning policies and reaching decisions on planning applications.

Your Involvement
There will be a series of stakeholder days in the autumn to help draft the new Statement of Community Involvement and we would welcome input from people and organisations, whether or not they have had experience of getting involved in planning processes.

In the meantime, if you have any comments you would like to make about the current Statement of Community Involvement used by your council or on the new Statement of Community Involvement, please do not hesitate to contact any us.  We will update the website as soon as possible with more information about the stakeholder days.
