The Council provides a collection for bulky household items such as sofas, beds, televisions etc at a pre-paid charge of:-

Up to 3 items or up to 5 bags/boxes   £21.50
Up to 9 items or up to 15 bags/boxes £28.00

These items are collected on your next Black Bin collection day after payment and need to be placed next to your wheelie bin.

Fridges and Freezers will be collected at a cost of £28.00 each. 

Fridges, Freezers and White goods i.e. washing machines, cookers etc will be collected fortnightly on a Thursday after payment.  These need to be placed outside for collection.  Please check link at bottom of page for Thursday collection dates.

Alternatively you can take your items to one of the two local Household Waste Civic Amenity Tip at Whorral Bank, Morpeth or Kirkley Thorne, Ponteland.  You may need a tipping permit for this if you have a van, for details please click on the website link at bottom of page.
