New bins

If you require a new bin either because you have moved into a new home or it has been lost or stolen, you can order a new one, either 140 or 240 litre size for £40.00 or a 360 litre size for £74 which includes VAT and delivery.  A replacment bin i.e. 360 litre bin replacing a 240 litre bin (must be 6 or more living in the property) £34 You can order this through First Call on 01670 535000.

If you are a new Castle Morpeth Borough Council tenant, the Housing Services Department will be responsible and will supply new bins if there are none at property.

If the Waste Operative/wagon has damaged your bin, a note will be left for you to contact first call and a new one will be delivered within 7 days.

Assistance

Castle Morpeth are aware that some people have difficulty in moving their bins to the collection point and can offer assistance where the Waste Collection Operatives will come onto your property to collect your bin and will empty it and then return it to your property, provided that there are no obstructions such as locked gates etc.

This service is only available if no one living in the property can manoeuvre the bin.
If you require this service please contact First Call 01670 535000 or E-mail firstcall@castlemorpeth.gov.uk and they will send out the necessary form for you to fill in and return.  We will then add you to the register and instruct the Waste Collection Operatives to collect your bins.

If your circumstances change or you move from your home, please inform the Council of such changes.
