Housing Services 

At the end of October 2007 the Council transferred its housing stock to Castle Morpeth Housing, a newly formed housing association. Although the Council no longer have housing stock to manage, they still do provide a number of ‘strategic’ housing services. For example, developing housing related strategies, including the Housing Strategy; working with developers, housing associations and funders to provide additional affordable housing; working with the owners of private properties to ensure that they are occupied, and in good condition and that private sector tenants receive a good quality management service.
