What permits are available?

There are 3 types of parking permit available, resident’s permits, standard permits and visitors permits.  To download an application form use the relevant link on the right.

Residents Permits - valid only in short stay car parks in Morpeth

Available free of charge to residents of Castle Morpeth Borough these permits allow free parking from 9am to 11am and after 3pm daily.  Resident’s permits are not valid in any of the all day car parks. 

Standard Permits - valid in Morpeth, Alnwick and Berwick districts

These permits are intended for people who work in Morpeth and who require all day parking.   The price represents a significant saving on daily charges. 

• 12 month - cost £90
• 6 months - cost £55
• 3 months - cost £30

The permits are valid from the day of purchase unless you specify a different start date. 

Visitors Permits - valid in Morpeth, Alnwick and Berwick districts

Visitors permits are available at a cost of £9 per week.  They can be purchased in advance.  These are also valid in all Council run off street car parks in Alnwick District and Berwick-upon-Tweed Borough including Lindisfarne (Holy Island), Bamburgh, Seahouses and Craster.  It is a great way to explore our historic and beautiful county.
