Current advice
Corporation Yard and Back Riggs North now have a 2 hour maximum stay and the Dacre Street car park has become a 3 hour car park so CMBC resident's permits are now valid there.
We suggest that workers who currently use the Dacre Street car park use the Dark Lane car park, at the bottom of Dacre Street which is only 200 yards from Dacre Street. Workers in the town should use the all day car parks whenever possible to leave the short stay car parks for visitors and customers.
Five bays at the front of Newmarket West car park beside the leisure centre are reserved for the mobile library. The library will be there from 9:00-17:00 Mondays to Fridays and 9:30-12:30 on Saturdays until further notice.
Grey's Yard car park is now open for parking though there is some finishing off work to complete. There are now marked bays in this car park. You must only park within the marked bays.
The Dark Lane car park at the bottom of Dacre Street can be used by the hour or all day from 50p per hour. Low Stanners has been extended and is currently free until further notice.
The Post Office, Inland Revenue, Healthichoice, Comrades Club, and Ladbrokes are still open but can only be reached from the pedestrian access by the bus station.
