Morpeth is served by the A1 trunk road, which offers rapid access north and south. Newcastle is a 20 minute journey, whilst Edinburgh and Leeds are approximately 90 minutes in either direction.

Public transport offers a comprehensive network of services both locally and further afield. A 20 minute commuter rail service to and from Newcastle provides access to the national rail network, the Tyne and Wear Metro system, and Newcastle Airport, whilst Arriva provide bus services within Morpeth and throughout Northumberland.
